Athleta Basketball Club is thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of our participation in the prestigious Teo4 Basketball Camp at Srebrno Jezero, Serbia that took place between the 22nd to 29th July 2024.
Athleta participated with a team of 28 young athletes that trained and competed for 7 full days in their different age categories. Apart from being exposed to international renowned coaches, our athletes were also mixed with multinational athletes that served as a learning experience not just on the court but off the court too. Friendships, fun, fitness, competitions, dormitories, breakfasts, lunches, dinners and medals are just a taster of take aways that such camps offered our athletes.
The camp has been a remarkable experience for everyone involved, marked by outstanding performances and unforgettable moments.
Achievements in 1vs1 Competitions
We are incredibly proud of our female players who excelled in the 1vs1 competitions. Rakela Micallef emerged victorious in the youth category, showcasing her skill and determination. In the senior category, Alexa Pisani claimed the top spot, demonstrating her prowess on the court. Their triumphs are a testament to their hard work and dedication.
Victory in the Ladies 5vs5 Competition
Adding to our achievements, a selection of our talented players won the ladies 5vs5 competition. This victory highlights the strength and unity of our team, as well as the high level of basketball talent within our club.
A Memorable Olympic Viewing
One of the highlights of our camp experience was watching the Serbia vs. USA Olympic game alongside Serbian coaches and the rest of the camp attendees. The atmosphere was electric, filled with camaraderie and excitement. Although Serbia did not win, sharing this moment brought everyone closer and provided a memorable bonding experience.
Heading Back Home
As we head back home, we reflect on the wonderful experience we had at the Teo4 Basketball Camp. The camp offered invaluable opportunities for our players to learn, compete, and grow both on and off the court. We look forward to applying the lessons learned and the skills developed in future competitions.
